The hapless stoner-on-the-couch myth is just that. A myth. Propaganda. Not only can cannabis not ruin your life, but when used intentionally, it can enhance it. I am living proof.
Cannabis has been my medicine for more than 25 years as I’ve navigated the hurdles of living with Complex PTSD. Its gentle effect opens me up to the present moment, relieving my anxiety and allowing me to experience life.
All while using cannabis, I graduated cum laude from a top law school and spent 15 years as an attorney, have been married to the love of my life for nearly 20 years, have two beautiful, smart, silly daughters, and amazing lifelong friendships. The sky has not fallen. My life has not fallen apart. In fact, it is the healing plant cannabis that has kept me together, and I want everyone to experience its benefits.
But I know that for a new user, the cannabis market is overwhelming; “What can I use CBD or THC for? How do I take it? How do I dose an edible? What is ‘sativa’ vs ‘indica’? What is dabbing? Are vapes safe? Which products are healthiest?” IT’S A LOT!
This is why I’ve dedicated my life to helping you understand it. This is why I left my legal career and pursued multiple cannabis certifications. Now, in addition to being a lifelong cannabis nerd, I am also a Certified Cannabis Educator, a Certified Cannabis & Health Coach, a Level 1 Professional Interpener (Cannabis Sommelier), and founder of the Cannabis Industry Association of Wisconsin.
